We visited Yut Kee again on last Friday but to get the most famous kaya roll only.
Kaya (coconut jam) is actually a type of food spread make from coconut, eggs, pandan leaves and palm sugar. As mentioned in my previous blog, the kaya served in Yut Kee is their home-made recipe and kaya roll is one of their specialty.
Normally the patron will prefer to take away the kaya roll. As all the kaya rolls are freshly made everyday, so the best time to visit Yut Kee is at noon. What we like about this kaya roll is its soft texture (even if you keep it until the next day) and the kaya is very fresh.
