As most of you know, her majesty’s wedding down is tailor made by a renowned designer Carven Ong. Since day 1 she met up with Carven to discuss about the design, I already told her that I don’t want to see it until the big day itself. I am very sure that it’d be a nice one for her and the moment when I saw my bride in her wedding gown, my first impression was filled with the expression of happiness, joy, excitement and sadness at the same time. Reason because was that i get to see her in it and tears flowed to my cheek, sad that i get to see it only once in my lifetime, if hopefully god willing, if god give us a baby daughter, may be one day she will wear the same wedding gown.
Material: Dutch Satin, french lace & tulle
Cutting: V-neck, semi mermaid, empire cut
It comes with an attached long train for her march in during church ceremony.
Problem with long train gown is the guest tends to step on it and it can be very dirty.
The shoes and veil to match with this gown are also tailor made by Carven.
For the groom, I don’t want to wear kot suit with pink tie which has no difference from my bestman / groomsmen. We do thought of to tailor made a tuxedo but I prefer not to have a bow tie too as it might makes me feel very uncomfortable. In the end, we rented this white colour suit from France & Taipei. The design is just extraordinary for the groom like me.
And my white colour shoes from hush puppies
She wore the same wedding gown again during the cocktail session as some of the guest who couldn’t make it for the church ceremony would sure love to see her in it. For something different, birdcage veil (by Carven) which is in trend in Western Country was used. It can simply costs few hundreds if we bought this from overseas.
Sexy yet elegant
She immediately changed into the evening wear when almost all guest are here. This piece is designed and made by a young designer Micky Tan whom her majesty know through works.
Design: Inspired by Indian’s sari, halter neck. The butterfly brooch was bought for her by Jenn.
Material: Hot pink shaded chiffon
This is how the sketch looks like.
And this is how the final product looks like…
I was wearing my G2000 kot suit which we bought for the pre-wedding photo shoot. Again, no tie for me as garden wedding isn’t suppose to be so formal.
Still many people cannot accept that why should we tailor made the gowns, but wedding is just once in a lifetime. We do not want to see other bride wearing the same gown with her majesty, and we really wanted a piece that fits her perfectly like a princess. Who knows she can also wear it for our anniversary in the future and keep it for our daughter / daughter in law?
